Tampa Lax Report is very proud to announce our 5th annual Senior Weekend and All-Star Games will be held Saturday and Sunday, June 11-12, 2022 at the Tournament Sportsplex of Tampa Bay.
We’ve made one major change since last year’s event. Due to the issues (communication, timing, logistics, availability, incorrect email addresses) with making local coaches nominate seniors for the event, Tampa Lax Report has decided to invite every TLR-area senior to register to participate in the event. This ensures that every senior will be able to strap it up for one last high school game to close out the 2022 season.
Everyone that registers will play together on Saturday, June 11th. Teams will be formed and coaches will be assigned. Teams will be made up of 1A boys, 2A boys, 1A girls, and 2A girls. Matchups on that day will be 1A vs 1A and 2A vs 2A. During those games, our volunteer coaches from the TLR area will evaluate players and make final selections on those that will earn a spot on their respective class’s Senior All-Star Roster. Those players will be placed on teams to then compete on our annual 1A vs 2A Senior All-Star Games held on Sunday, June 12th in the big stadium at the Sportsplex.
Game times for Saturday’s games will likely fall between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Games on Sunday will likely be between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. We will email everyone with full details as we get closer to the event.
MVP awards will be handed out after the boys and girls games Sunday for Defensive MVP, Offensive MVP, and Overall MVP.
The registration cost is $50 and covers: uniforms (which you keep), insurance, fields, referees, programs, and MVP awards.
