With the shortened season this year, Tampa Lax Report brainstormed for a way to include more players in a longer weekend of games to help – in a small way – to make up for some of their lost games.
Saturday, July 18 and Sunday, July 19, Tampa Lax Report will hold our Senior Weekend of Games. The games will coincide with the Tampa Jam lacrosse tournament and take place at the same location. There will be both a 1A vs 1A game as well as a 2A vs 2A game comprised of nothing but coach-selected seniors taking part. Players from the different classifications will be split into 2 teams per class based on attendance. Every effort will be made to keep teammates together.
An online storefront has been setup by 3x event sponsor Red’s Team Sports so participants, family, and fans can pre-order event apparel or Tampa Lax Report items. Between those two Saturday games, the coaches and staff of Tampa Lax Report will select the best 1A and best 2A players to participate in our 2020 TLR Senior All-Star Game on Sunday, July 19th on the stadium field at the Tampa Jam.
