Travis Loving, math teacher and assistant boys varsity lacrosse coach at Haverford School since 2001, has been hired by Berkeley Prep and will take on “similar teaching and coaching” positions at the Tampa school.
Mr. Loving was not only a well respected instructor at Haverford, but was also part of a boys lacrosse program that amassed 11 league championships and two undefeated national championships (2011 and 2015). He is a West Point graduate and was captain of his lacrosse team at Army.
There is no official word yet from Berkeley on the role Mr. Loving will have within their lacrosse program, but a hire like this will only help shine a brighter light on the great talent found in the Tampa area.
